This is the final book in the Department 19 series featuring the main character Jamie Carpenter. This book takes place in England where Jamie and his team live and in Carcassonne in France where Dracula resides. This was an epic journey and this book was fast paced and I had no idea which one of my favourite characters was going to make it to the end. War has been declared and its up to Department 19 to take down and eliminate Dracula on his own turf. No easy job when he has his own army of willing fighters ! Apart from all the action there is betrayal , death , and unimaginable new beginnings for some of the characters , but I am happy to say I liked the ending enormously which was very satisfying. If you like action books , and books about vampires combine the two of these and this makes one excellent read!
