June Favourites

There has been a big change in my diet and make up favourites this month as the hotter weather really alters how I feel about food and makeup.
My favourite food each morning is this one with sliced banana on top . With either a glass of water or juice .
Skin needs all the help it can get during the hot weather so to treat it as kindly as possible I have been using these products on face and body.

Cleansers
Face masks

For the skin that is seeing lots of sun sea or sand I recommend:
On hot summer nights these are a blessing:

To help prevent sun damage
Freshen up
Body treats

For days when the thought of putting on a full face of make up brings you out in a cold sweat:

These two guys above are perfect shower products. Refreshing and smelling great. They will give you a real pick me up in the morning.
A citrus blast in the morning
The smells like delicious , you will have to resist licking your hand .
These two products are keeping my hair as clean and tame as possible .
The breakfast scrub by Soap and Glory. This is a WOW scrub! Smells glorious and does exactly what it is supposed to.
I have been chilling out to these CDs from the Lush Store.

Well guys that was my June, hope you have had a great month. X x x x

My Sunday ... Not Forgetting Queen Maeve

Today was a beautiful day for adventures and that is exactly what happened! Take a look at where I was. Knocknarea and Carrowmore . The most beautiful scenery seen from a distance. If you decide to ever walk up Knocknarea wear comfortable shoes, bring lots of water , painkillers just in case, light snacks , fully charged phone battery and when you get to the top give yourself a slap on the back because trust me you deserve it!

That is the top, thankfully within reach at that point.

After a day spent walking and looking at the sites it was home time and time to cut some flowers for my mum and I ...then picked my books that I am reading this week.
A Deadly Grind by Victoria Hamilton
Once Upon a time in Greaf Britain by Melanie Wentz
Dying in the Eool by Frances Brody
The Diviners by Libba Bray

Th Twelve Clues Of Christmas by Rhys Bowen. Review.

I am a big fan of this series and of books based around the festive season so this book appealed to me in many ways. In this book, book 6 in the series Lady Georgiana Rannoch finds herself helping out a hostess in a large country pile in Tiddleton - Under-Lovey . Christmas in the country sounded like a great idea until the first body showed up then Georgie's detective skills needed to be put into action when the body count started to rise. This is a terrific series with favourite characters such as Georgie's mother, Noël Coward, Grandad , and Queenie making appearances not forgetting the delectable rough diamond Darcy ,Georgie's love interest . If you already love this series then this will not disappoint but if you are new to this series you are going to love it for all it's comical capers , red herrings and action and adventure. Go read this immediately !

The Secret Place by Tana French. Review

Wow! What a book!  I am a fan of Tana's books and so when I won this one here on Goodreads I was thrilled. Tana is back with a story about a dead boy, a school full of secrets and a cop in need of a leg up in his career . It's been a while since I was at school but the complex relationships of school girls came back to me reading this and we see a darker side to young female friendship and the secrets they hide and things they do and talk about. I think Tana got it spot on the way young girls behave when together making this story very believable. One of my favourite characters is Detective Stephen Moran, he needs a step up on the career ladder and when the body of a young boy is found it could be the opportunity he needs. Working alongside his female superior Antoinette Conway who is as charming as a pit bull chewing a wasp is often comical when we read the banter between these two characters . If you want a nice big book full of juicy secrets to sink your teeth into ,that has plenty of red herrings and terrifying teenagers , then this is the book for you. Excellent!!!!!!!!

I won this book on Goodreads .

This book is due to be published August 2014 .
