Motive X by Stefan Ahnhem. Review / Blog Tour

The story is primarily set in Sweden and is centered around a police team and the murderers they are trying to find . The team are being swamped with unusual deaths and murders , each one very different from the previous but equally as shocking and grim . The story is very fast paced so you need to have your wits about you to keep up , but if you like a fast paced read with attention to detail you will love this . The crimes are grisly and the murderer is terrifying , he definitely plays by his own sick rules of which there appears to be plenty , it’s a gruesome game he plays . The plot is often chilling and I got goosebumps while reading through parts , the building of tension was excellent and so I tore through the book in one go eager to see if the wrongdoer would be captured . I would recommend this to all fictional crime fans .

Motive X – Stefan Ahnhem

About The Book

He strikes at random. His motive unknown. No one is safe...

Helsingborg police must solve the unsolveable. A wave of apparently random homicides is sweeping through their idyllic seaside town. The murders have no pattern, no order, no reason. The perpetrator is immune to psychological profiling; forensically untraceable; utterly invulnerable to modern police techniques.

The body count is growing. But lead investigator Fabian Risk is distracted by his mission to expose a corrupt colleague, and his boss Astrid is spiralling back into addiction. As the hunt for the solution becoming ever more desperate, their tight-knit team begins to unravel...

Motive X is both an explosive, multi-layered thriller and a fearless exploration of the darkest side of human nature. To enter Stefan Ahnhem’s world, with its interwoven plotlines and sprawling cast of characters, is to put yourself in the hands of a master storyteller.
