Books,Chocolate, Crochet, Make-Up

Hi there lovelies. Have you managed to keep warm and avoid all the colds that the chillier weather tends to bring? I have a cold and throat infection right now so I have been drinking lots of fluids and getting as much fruit and veg in my diet as I can.
This time of year is always perfect for one of these when you are out and about:

 When at home who can resist one of these hot chocolates from the Snowman mug, yes folks those are chocolate flakes in that tin.

I have just finished reading Do or Diner and I loved it! If you are looking for a cosy mystery set in a diner then this might be the one for you. Great characters, great setting , believable plot, great side kicks and an awesome ending.

My skin is hating the colder weather and my normal foundation is just not making me happy so I took full advantage of the sale going on in my local pharmacy and stocked up on the below items.

CC Cream by L'Oreal. Love it! It turns from Green to beige to correct any redness on the skin. Brilliant idea and easy to use and blend.

 Wake Me up by Rimmel. Lovely scent of this Foundation! Will review these two when I try them for a little while

 True Match Foundation by L'Oreal, An old favourite!

 I ran out of mascara and decided to pick up this old favourite. Blackest Black Mascara by Maybeline

I have also made myself a new cosy cowl for to keep me warm. I got a nice bright colourful wool to make it with and this is how it turned out. This is Crochet.

This book is awesome. I love it! Neil Gaiman is the author and narrator and he is excellent at reading a story aloud. His voice is wonderful and you can't help completely pushing out the rest of the world as you listen to him tell you this story. It is Magical!

In The Mail.

Look at this awesome book that has arrived in the post yesterday for review for Lovereading.co.uk. The cover is fabulous and immediately made me want to read it. The twitching curtains are hilarious!! You can expect a review of this book in about a week .

Books I Will Be Reading This December

I love to read books with a seasonal theme .
That being said here are a few books that I am hoping to get to this December. Some are quite short so I should fly through them in no time others are a little longer.

Reading Right Now! Ohhhhh the loveliness!!!!

I am finally out of my book slump!!!!!
The above sentence was a joy to type. I had been in the longest book slump that I had ever been in and I was really beginning to wonder could I possibly not be into books any more...
HA!!!! that thought lasted all of five seconds before the urge to wander through my book shelves and reach out for some books grabbed me. I have lots on the go now and I am gulping down words like nobodies business . Ahhh it's great to smell the books again and hear the rustle of paper as I turn the pages. It's like not seeing a friend for a long time then sitting down for a juicy gossip when you meet them again. It feels great!
So, what am I reading now?
Well now that you ask.......

 Do or Diner by Christine Wenger..I am about half way through this book and loving every bit of it.

Dust by Patricia Cornwell .. Love Patricia's series and I am nearly half way through this book two and I am loving it! It has me on the edge of my seat.

From top to bottom I am reading Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian. I don't know much about the Kardashians, hopefully this will be enlightening.

The Dud Avacado by Elaine Dundy. I adore VMC books they are awesome !

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

Love On The Road 2013, Tranum and Kapila. I won this on Goodreads, 1/3 of the way through it and really enjoying it. I love books about travel and love.

I am listening to an audio book through Audible and it is:

I love this series, set in the fictional place of Scumble River. Fans of this series will not be disappointed by this awesome book. If you have never tried this series on audio book it is well worth checking out as the narrator is excellent.

I'm Back!!

Hi guys! Well the month of November is over and so is NaNoWriMo. This year I found it harder then the previous year but I did complete it  and won, yay!!! Did you join in with all the other writers for the month of November?
Well now that November is over it is time to put the pen down for a little while and pick up the lovely delicious bookish goodness that has been patiently waiting for me ..okay more like hollering from the book shelves ...persistent little divils that they are.
I am reading some lovely books now , and this week will likely see me completing my Goodreads Challenge that was set back in January. Ahhh how the time has flown ..
I have met some wonderful books this year, been to some awesome places and met some truly great characters. All this from my armchair!!

Apartment 16 by Adam Neville.

I don't have a picture of this book to put up right now but this book really did peak my interest lately.
I love a good haunted house, creepy house story. From the cover of this book to the bit of the book I have so far read it is really good and is building the tension very well. Check out the link below if you would like to see it.

 Deadly Reading by Laura Bradford was another book recently that I read and enjoyed. If you like cosy mysteries with a nice setting then this is one of those books you may enjoy a lot.
