A Spell Of Murder by Clea Simon . Review

This is book book 1 in the “ Witch Cat Of Cambridge “ , Mystery  series . The story combines a love of cats with the paranormal and a good bit of tongue in cheek humor .

The main character of the story is Becca , she has had some bad luck in the romance department but believes her life is on the up when she thinks she may now have magic at her fingertips , little does she know but her cats are the ones with all the magical skills in her house and they are ruling the roost . A lot of the story is from the cats point of view , it’s funny,  and a great twist on a normal mystery . Enjoy !

The Spitfire Girl In The Skies by Fenella J . Miller . Review

I thoroughly enjoyed this story about a young woman reaching great success flying during war times with the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force , she has real gumption and I loved the camaraderie between Ellie and her work mates . Ellie’s love life is having less success and I had a few moments where I had a lump in my throat reading parts of it . The story had quite a few surprises in it , I really did not see some things coming and it made the story all the better but I would recommend keeping the tissues handy . I loved every page of this and finished it within the day . You will think of these characters long after the last page.

The Pact We Made by Layla AlAmmer . Review

This is a beautifully written story about one young woman in her thirties living in present day Kuwait . The story goes back and forth in time giving us glimpses of Dahlia’s life , through these snippets of her life we see darker parts of her life such as self harm and terror . I found the dynamic of her family intriguing , the closeness to the point of suffocation sometimes , and the pressure to have done certain things by a certain age , the very audible thoughts from others that if you have not reached these  life goals by a certain age what will happen . A fascinating read !

With Or Without You by Shari Low Blog Tour

If you ever looked back and  wondered if a decision you made was the right one then this is the book for you . The story is about  a group of friends , specifically two people , Liv and Nate . They have been married six years and their relationship has turned more stale then a fortnight old loaf . Liv’s foot is tapping for excitement , romance and all that good stuff , something that will make her life worth getting up for every day .

The book takes us on two journeys , for the first half we get to see what happens if she leaves her husband , how it will effect herself and those closest to her and in the second half of the book we see what happens if she stayed .

I thought this was a terrific plot , I think most of us have wondered “what if “ , and Shari has given us plenty to think about here . I got really invested in these characters and was rooting for them throughout , seeing the aftermath of decisions that were made was fascinating and I could not get enough of it .

An interesting book .... I loved it !

I received this gorgeous book for review from the lovely people over at Aria Publishing . Below find out a little more about this terrific author and this great story .

The Bells of Little Woodford – Catherine Jones COVER REVEAL

About the book

The town of Little Woodford seems peaceful and picture-postcard beautiful, with its marketplace, ancient church and immaculate allotments.

But behind the tranquil facade, troubles are brewing. Olivia Lewthwaite, former town councillor, pillar of the WI and all-round busybody, has been forced by her husband’s gambling debts to sell their house - her pride and joy.

She hates the new estate they’ve moved to and knows she needs to humble herself to apply for a job. To make matters worse, a thoroughly disagreeable woman has bought Olivia’s beloved Grange and sets about objecting to everything she can, from the ringing of the church bells, to the market stall selling organic local meat.

It isn’t long before the town is in turmoil.

About the author

Catherine Jones lives in Thame, where she is an independent Councillor. She is the author of eighteen novels, including the Soldiers' Wives series, which she wrote under the pseudonym Fiona Field.

The Spitfire Girl In The Skies Cover Reveal .

The Spitfire Girl In The Skies Cover Reveal.  Yay !!!!

This book is going to be published April 2nd in ebook format .

The Spitfire Girl in The Skies – Fenella J. Miller

About the book

The second Spitfire Girl novel from bestselling author Fenella J Miller.

The ATA training base, Hampshire, 1940 Ellie Simpson is attached to an Air Transport Auxiliary base in Hampshire. Life as an ATA pilot is tough, but despite the long hours and danger, Ellie can think of nowhere she’d rather be.

Not only does she love flying, but doing important war work, alongside new-found friends, provides a welcome distraction from worrying about loved ones fighting on the front line. Being an ATA girl is definitely exciting, but as Ellie soon finds out wearing the distinctive blue uniform also means putting her life on the line every time she takes to the skies.

It will take friendship and a strength she didn’t know she possessed to help her county – and those she loves – to survive.

An inspiring story of an incredible girl going above and beyond during World War II
