Fishbowl by Bradley Somer . Review

This is the story about a building called The Seville on Roxy. It's residents are a mixed bunch of characters ,some more likeable then others but all intriguing . We have Ian the fish who is at the center of the story, Katie and the love rat Conner, the Agoraphobic Claire, the very pregnant Petunia, homeschooled Herman and his grandpa, and lastly Jimenez the lonely superintendent who looks after the entire building . Each chapter is based on a different resident of the building, we see some of their story and sometimes glimpses into their neighbours lives. I really enjoyed the way the book was written , it made me wonder what the lives of other people would be like who live in similar buildings. Loved this!

The Sudden Departure Of The Frasers by Louise Candlish. Review .

I am a huge fan about houses with mysterious pasts and this is definetly one of them. When Christy and Joe buy their dream home they are incredibly excited and amazed by how beautiful it is and wonder why the previous residents stayed there for such a short amount of time. Amber and Jeremy were the previous owners and Ambers reputation proceds her , she may not have  lived there long but she was much loved and everyone had something good to say about her. Beautiful with expensive impeccable taste Amber is one of the characters that feels like she is almost still there and Christy and Joe will have to spend quite a bit of time trying to win over the neighbours like Amber and Jeremy did when they moved in. 

The story is told in two ways in the past though Amber's eyes and in the present through Christy's .

They both had no children , husbands that worked a lot , and both women spent a lot of time at home. 

I loved this book immediately , the mystery is what drives you to finish this book as soon as you can so you can find out why Amber and her husband vanished so suddenly when they were loved by all who knew them. If you loved books like Rosemary's baby or other books about mysterious houses then you will love this.

We Are All Made Of Stars by Rowan Coleman . Review

This is the story about a woman called Stella who works in a hospice for those very sick or dying. Stella writes letters for those she takes care of and the letters are posted after the patient dies. We get to know a lot of her patients this way, each with their own unique story to tell and each one more touching then the next. Husbands and wives, mothers and daughters, lovers, friends, every combination or relationship is written about here, young and old , male and female. While Stella enjoys working with her patients her home life has altered a lot since her husband came back from war badly injured and emotionally destroyed.  This is a tender story about how precious life is , how each moment counts and how those we have in our life , that mean the most to us , is who we think of at the very end. If you enjoy a thought provoking read with a satisfying ending then this is the book for you.

Saving Grace by Jane Green . Review

When the famous author Ted Chapman and his wife Grace need help with sorting out their home and Teds business they are thrilled to meet the slightly dowdy Beth who comes to them like a dream come true with glowing references , she is everything you could ask for in a personal assistant and it is not long until she makes herself indispensable to the family. Beth is not their long before things begin to feel strange , Beth is crossing lines and placing doubts in Ted's mind about Grace and even making Grace doubt herself when this escalates into something more sinister it becomes a terrifying experience for Grace who seems to be the only one who sees through this innocent act that Beth is portraying herself to be. This is a book that is both terrifying and impossible to put down. Reading the damage that a sociopath can do to a family was an eerie experience but Grace was an inspiring lead character that I was routing for the entire way through the book.
