The Olive Season by Carol Drinkwater

The Olive Season is the follow up book to The Olive Farm which is the non fiction account of Carol's move to an Olive farm in France. Carol has a wonderful voice as a narrator and her easy going ,laid back writing style is refreshing and very enjoyable. It really feels more like listening to a friend tell you of their adventures in exotic locations then a stranger you are reading about in a book.. In this book Carol tells us of all the work involved with moving home, a wedding, while later finding out she was pregnant.. The story will have you day dreaming about sunny days in France sipping wine while looking over Olive trees as you perhaps sit up in bed drinking tea like I did. Carol's book will make you smile, make your heart break ....I admit it there was tears...lots of them  , it will stay with you long after the last page is closed. Now I must go read book 1. ......(shuffles off to find it.......).... Go read it guys!!!  You're going to love it!!

Bedknobs and Broomsticks Review

Bedknobs and Broomsticks is the story about three children called Carey, Charles and Paul and their friend Miss Eglantine Price. When sent to the country to stay with their aunt they happen to meet Miss Price while out mushroom picking. Here starts a wonderfully adventurous story filled with danger and flying beds and unexpected travel opportunities..
I had previously only seen the film of the same name that starred Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson and that was really sweet so when I happened to find this edition in a used book store I could not resist. There is differences between the book and the film but it still a nice read.

Reading this weekend

This weekend I am planning to finally get around to reading Life of Pi, I keep saying I will but then I keep resisting it. I have noticed that others in the book community have similar problems like this with books on their own shelves. The books I normally have this problem with often turn out to be books I adore and can't stop ranting about. I am having the same issue with A Discovery of Witches .. I know it's going to be fabulous from the few pages I have already read ,the writing style really appeals to me, if I could only sit my butt down in a chair and actually open it. Let's hope this one below is going to be one of the great ones .

 Death in Four Courses is book 2 in the key West Food Critic series by Lucy Burdette. I bought book 1 as soon as it came out and loved it and I have been saving this book 2 below to read because book 3 Topped Chef is going to be released in the first week of May. I get so excited when I read book 1 in a series and instantly fall in love with the characters and the setting of the books. Sunny Key West is the perfect escapist read when I am wearing many layers on a chilly cold day here in Ireland and can only day dream about sunnier climates. I highly recommend this to anyone, but esp to cosy mystery fans ,You're going to love this series. I love cosy's ,they are awesome! 

 The Other Typist by Suzanne Rindell I was sent for review .Last night I said I would read a few pages to see if I would like it.. I love it!!!!!! It is soooo gripping!! There is a lot to love between the covers of this book. The narrator is awesome. As soon as I had started into this I had to go on Goodreads and lovereading.co.uk and every other bookish place I knew off to see if this Author had written more. It looks like this is this author's first book from what I can find on -line. It's soooo exciting finding a new author I admire!!!

 Diamond 12 hour lip treatment by Sally Hansen is in the shade Promise . A fab pink glitter/shimmer colour that is going to look even more fantastic in the summer with a tan

I was chatting one of the ladies in my local Cara and she suggested these nail polish strips .I picked out the All-A -Flutter box which has the pattern of butterflys on.

The James Herbert book below was under a £1 and all the others are at bargain prices right now too so check them out on Amazon while they are still at such a great price. So that being said the first lot of books coming up are by Joanne Fluke. Joanne writes the Hannah Swensen cosy mystery series. This Cosy mystery is set in a small seaside town where our main character's grandmother has just died.Liz Talbot is the heroine of the story and she is a feisty  but kind character who is determined to put the pieces together in the mystery she has found herself in while her dog Rhett comes along for the ride. .Suspicious deaths, ghosts, possibly a murderer are just a few things that will keep you on your toes while reading this. I was not able to guess the outcome of the book which is always good as there is nothing better then a book that will keep you guessing until the very last page. I can't wait to read more from this author :0) This was fun and I really liked the nice setting in this cosy mystery. Loved it!
