This was not the first book I read by John Green ,to be honest I don't know what took me sooo long ot get around to this one but now that I have I can say it was great!!!!!!!!
Reading this book you cannot imagine that an adult wrote it. ..I should clarify... he understands young people and reading this I can imagine clearly in my mind a teenage guy telling me this story,at no time did I think otherwise. That's pretty great!!John Green is like the adult who grew up but remembered all the crap times of a teenagers life..In a way I think of him in the same way as Roald Dahl,he too could write stories for young people, on their level and from their point of view,he did not forget what it was like to be young ..My favourite character was Tiny. The big heart in the big body,with enough personality for a hundred people.The story itself was touching , sad, and funny ,I recommend this to everyone espescially if you are already a John Green fan.

New Kindle Release/Sue Grafton

                                                       Kinsey and Me  by Sue Grafton

This was a new release on Kindle today that I was very excited about and I had it pre-ordered. For those of you who are not familiar with Sue Grafton, she is a writer of the Kinsey Milhone alphabet series. Kinsey and me is Sue's most recent book but this is not part of the alphabet but it does contain short stories and details about Sue and where she got ideas for this series of books .This book makes a great addition to the series as all her fans are eagerly waiting for W is for........This shall hopefully tide us over until that book is being released. Reading this it is clear to see the effort that Sue puts in to getting to know her character Kinsey for example learning to shoot a gun and taking lessons in defending herself,all things that Kinsey learned how to do for her job as private detective. If anyone reading this is looking for a series of books to start on I urge you to try this one. I have been reading these books for over 16 years and I truly love them.  Kinsey is a fun, believable ,gutsy woman who does not shy away from crime while often  putting herself in danger in the name of finding out the truth.

I loved this book! This is the story about two people who's lives are not going as they had planned. Albert is a widower nearing retirement age,he works for the post office and comes home in the evening to his cat ,Carol is fed up of her husband and she does not like her daughter much either but as soon as she gets up the guts to leave her husband he stuns her with news that makes it impossible for her to leave him. Albert and Carol  become linked in a way neither of them could have expected when Carol in desperation sends a letter out into the universe and Albert finds it and through this link they are each given some comfort at times in their lives when they need it most. This was a very funny and emotional read ,Carol is very witty and I was often chuckling away to myself reading the thoughts she had to herself,some of which were utterly outrageous but giggle inducing. Arthur is a sweet man who lost his one true love and spent his whole life mourning for her. These two characters made this a  truly wonderful book,each page was a joy to read and I can't wait to read it again.

January Glossybox 2013

Hi Everyone! My first Glossybox of the new year! It's a fantastic one this month.I was so pleased when I opened my pretty box to find goodies from some wonderful companies. For those who know little about beauty boxes they are a subscription service where you pay £ 10 once a month with £2.95 for postage and packing then you are sent  a box of beauty goodies for you to try out,contents varies each month and the quality is always high and the packaging is very feminine and it feels like a real treat.
This month the box has a theme of :Detox. Being January we could probably all do with one of them and so this box comes in good time to treat ourselves a little kindly. In my box there was something for hair,lips,body and an exfoliator and  warming face mask for face. An added extra in the box was a Glossy sleep mask which was adorable and I will definitely use.

 Elemis Exfoliating Face Wash has a fresh scent and the beads are not too abrasive which makes this pleasant to use.

Jason Lips Bee Healthier lip balm..This is lightly cooling on the lips as it contains peppermint,feels very moisturising without having an overpowering peppermint taste.Love this!

Daily Conditioner by Paul Mitchell... This smells really nice like when you get your hair done in a salon and is a wonderful size.I will definitely use this.

Using all these products and then putting on my new sleep mask will make a very pampering evening even more special.What a great box this month. I can't wait to see what will be in February's box!!

Stolen by Lesley Pearse

This book was the most gripping ,nail biting story I have read in years! From the first few pages I was really drawn in by the main character Lotte whom the entire story is based around.At the beginning we learn about a young woman being found on a beach but just as you think the worst is over for her the story pulls you along at full speed as we learn more about how she ended up there and what could be hiding in the fog that the amnesia has left her in. There is a lot of baddies in this book but thankfully Lotte has great friends around her and she is going to need every single one of them as danger is not far away. I could not set this book down once I started ,there was no way I could go to bed without knowing how it was going to end. I can't wait to read more books by this author, she is awesome!!
