In My Mailbox

                                                                 In My Mailbox
Those who follow me on here and Goodreads will not be surprised one tiny little bit to see these next authors books here on my blog...I love them!!!! I have been following Cleo Coyle's coffeehouse mystery series since the beginning and with each new book I fall in love all over again. Holiday buzz is the latest in this series and is book 12. If you love a cup of coffee and a mystery this combines both..Go check this book out!
Holiday Grind is the 8th book in the Coffeehouse mystery series by Cleo Coyle .I love all the covers of these books!!
Jacqueline Winspear is a wonderful mystery writer ,this series(A Maisie Dobbs Novel) is terrific!! This is another series where I have to collect each book. The main character Maisie is a genuine and believable heroine who often shows great strength and dignity while having to unscramble many a mystery.Highly recommend this series!
Below are the two books I got sent for review this week thanks to the lovely folks at
This book has not been released yet. Publishing date is 21st February and I will have review on this later this week. This is a story told in letter form, I have read 5 pages and I was already laughing so I have high hopes for this. I adore epistolary books so this book is right up my street!
Want to learn some more about this book: http://www.lovereading.co.uk/book/8243/Stolen-by-Lesley-Pearse.html   I am a quarter of the way through this book and already I can't put it down. It's about a young woman who is found but who does not remember what has happened to her, after she has been examined it seems she recently gave birth to a baby but no one has any idea where the baby has gone or why the woman is in such a bad condition. It will be a late night in my house tonight as I have to find out what happened to this young woman. (she is a lovely character that you can't imagine anyone doing anything cruel too).

Kindle and ipod covers by Minako at etsy

Hi guys!! I was searching locally for cute, pretty covers for my kindle and i-pod. Things were dismal.. I decided to have a look at my favourite site for original and handmade products , on Etsy this is what I found.

This is the kindle cover above ,it is the perfect fit. Mina the lady who made these for me can make any to suit any device as long as you provide the measurements. Everything comes packed neatly and within the time frame predicted on the site. These would make great gifts or even a treat for yourself.
This pretty design is even more beautiful then on this photo .

A Rainy Sunday ,Books and Hot Chocolate

It's a real wet and cold day here in Ireland and there are few things that cause some cheer. Books are the first that come to mind and the second is hot baths and hot chocolate.
I have been reading Christmas at Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons today and it was the perfect read  when it still feels a little Christmasy and the days of spring still feel a little far away.
If you have not read it ,it is a collection of short stories compiled into one book. Each chapter is dedicated to new characters and they are all wonderful even though we are not reading about them for very long.

I just love this cover above.....

My read for tonight is going to be Constable and Toop. The cover has been calling to me from my bookcase and I almost heard it cheer when I picked it up tonight to read :0)
In this book a clerk is trying to find out why haunted houses are losing their ghosts while trying to keep himself safe.
This book won the Blue Peter award in 2012 and really looks like a fun read. This cover is eerily beautiful.

This week I am really in the mood for Cozy Mysteries ,I have been really into them since before Christmas and it has continued into the new year. A list of Cozies and some pictures of the books will be up here tomorrow but for now I will say goodnight and I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
If you have any recommendations for any good books you read lately stick them in the comments below xxxxxxxxxx

French Pressed by Cleo Coyle

                                                                  French pressed

This is book six in the Coffeehouse mystery series by Cleo Coyle. This is a wonderful series and I try to read each book in order. I am currently waiting on two books to arrive in the post (will post pics when they arrive).
In this book we have all the wonderful things we have come to expect from this series, delicious discriptions of hot tasty coffee's, great characters , a murder or two, and some recipes at the back of the book that you can try and make at home yourself.
This series is soooo great!! My favourite character is Clare Cosi ,she is the lead character in all the books and she runs" The Village Blend" coffee shop.
In this book Clare's daughter Joy is having a little trouble at work and it is going to be up to her mother Clare to help sort it out before it gets out of control. (I know one thing for sure,if you are in trouble Clare is the person you want on your side). We see Clare's ex and current love interest making appearances (more great characters) in this book too and things are a little shaky in the relationship department for Clare and  Joy's love life is no picnic either.
I do love the amount of detail that Cleo goes into about how coffee is made and it's origins and the work that goes into a great cup of coffee. The flavours that can be brought out of some beans is amazing and seeing how they would work better with certain foods was a real education in something that most people think of as just their jolt of energy to wake them up in the mornings.
This is a great book that I urge you to read with a large latte and biscotti..you won't regret it!!

Neom ,Liz Earle,Elemis,Body Shop etc

I am going to start with Neom... Neom Luxury Organics  are the most indulgent of candle makers that I have found so far. I am a huge fan of scented candles and there is few candles left that I have not sniffed.
I came across this brand last year when there was a body lotion I believe in the scent "Real Luxury"   in one of my beauty boxes. It was sooo good I wanted more. These candles are not cheap but I would say they would make a very special gift for someone who enjoys candles. I will leave a link below so you can find more about the brand for yourself.

This is the candle Serenity...Vanilla and sandalwood make this the perfect candle to relax with..

Inside the large Neom Luxury Organics boxes are inspirational quotes.(Above)
