This is the beautifully graphic book by the same author that gave us" The Time Traveller's Wife".
In this book we meet Alexandra, a troubled young woman who finds great comfort in books. Early one summer morning at 4 o' clock Alexander comes across the bookmobile and it's librarian Robert Openshaw. This is a very momentous occasion in her life and one that would stay with her for the rest of her life. A sad and incredibly touching and thought provoking book that has stayed with me since I first read it. I have gone back to this book many times and re-read it and it gives me a lot of joy. The pictures are so beautiful and the story is so special it brought tears to my eyes when I first read it.The two main characters I was really affected by... they are two souls that you embrace . It is a short story that will fill a readers heart with even more love for reading.
I just ordered this one Edel. I can hardly wait to read it.
